MadhuriThe cover shows Sujata who grows grapes successfully and helps others with her advices.

Several pages are full of letters from parents, government-school headmasters who appreciate the camps, the exhibitions, the different activities of the “hobby classes” given by the Vanasthali teachers, and also the mobile library.

An article gives an account of the training given by Madhuri Purandare for the use of her method to teach Marathi and a picture shows her being thanked by the Vanasthali teachers who have benefited.

ReadingA lovely picture illustrates an article about the importance of reading.

And yet another article describes the work of a couple who takes care of mentally handicapped women (see picture above).
Another is a homage to Mr Thorat (picture below, with the author of the article), a man who grows trees, inspired by Giono’s “l’homme qui plantait des arbres” (the man who planted trees) which Madhuri illustrated and translated into Marathi.

Others are about pets, cooking, fighting against superstition, and also : parent-teacher meetings, summer camps, and several institutions helped by Vanasthali.

Mr Thorat (left)A rich and diversified content, fruit of a collective work. The magazine is taken in charge in turn by the local centres and the supervisors must collect the testimonies but also the necessary advertisements for its financing.
